Meet your psychologist
Thanks for stopping by!
My name is Izzy. I am a registered psychologist who has been providing therapy online for the past four years.
I have worked with all kinds of clients throughout my career; however, I tend to gravitate toward those who are feeling overwhelmed or stuck in life. I have extensive experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, low self-worth, perfectionism, people-pleasing, burnout, chronic stress, and trauma. I also enjoy working with individuals who may have been told they are “too self-aware” for therapy.
Another main interest of mine is supporting neurodivergent clients, having previously worked exclusively within this space for over a year. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, meaning I view autism, ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions as natural variations in brain development and not something that needs to be ‘fixed.’ My work with neurodivergent clients may involve deepening their understanding of their neurotype, cultivating acceptance and self-compassion, implementing necessary accommodations, and advocating for their needs, and learning to mask unsafely.
Outside of psychology, you will find me enjoying coffee, chasing after my toddler, reading, listening to podcasts or scrolling TikTok.
My Therapeutic Style
I am not a ‘blank-slate therapist.’ I prefer showing up to our sessions with warmth, gentleness and genuine curiosity. Therapy looks different for everyone. I meet my clients where they are in their self-development journey, collaborating on treatment goals and encouraging shared decision-making. Your needs are my priority and you deserve a space where they are acknowledged and valued.
I believe we are all experts in our own lives, and my role is to provide guidance, tailored skills, and interventions to help you access the capacity needed to heal and grow.
My Therapeutic Approach
I deeply value approaches grounded in both evidence and compassion. I'm a bit of a neuroscience nerd, so my work is guided by underlying neural mechanisms such as memory reconsolidation, which helps us heal from the root. As such, I tend to gravitate toward therapies like EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic practices as they help to create a space where both your mind and body can feel supported and understood.
