  • If you wish to claim a rebate from Medicare, you will need to obtain both a referral and a mental health care plan from your GP.

    If you are not planning to use Medicare, you do not need a referral to access our service.

  • Please ask your GP to include the following details on your referral, as these are Medicare’s requirements:

    • The date of referral

    • Your name, DOB and address

    • A request for service under the Better Access Initiative

    • How many sessions they are referring you for

    • Your doctor’s name and Medicare provider number

    • Your doctor’s signature

  • Yes, you can. Please notify us if you have already used some sessions elsewhere, as this will impact how many rebates you can claim with us.

  • Our intake form will ask for your card details, which are safely stored on Halaxy. We will process your payment and Medicare rebate on the day of your appointment.

  • Yes, we kindly ask you to provide more than 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

    Cancellation fees:

    • Less than 48 hours notice but more than 24 hours = 50% of the appointment fee

    • Less than 24 hours notice = Full cost of session

    All clients will receive an appointment reminder via email 5 days and 48 hours before a scheduled session. It is the client’s responsibility to keep track of appointments.

    • You can select your communication preferences - email, phone call, SMS.

    • We encourage fidgets, stimming, dim lights, or other adjustments to make you more comfortable.

    • No homework—although we sometimes send resources, there is no pressure to do anything with them.

    • We regularly attend professional development led by neurodivergent mental health professionals

  • At this time, we are unable to provide:

    • Couples counselling

    • In-person therapy

    • Therapy for children

    • Medico-legal assessments or letters regarding court-related matters

    • Therapy for clients with a high-risk eating disorder such as Anorexia or Bulimia, acute psychosis, imminent suicide risk or risk to others. These presentations require in-person services.

  • Although we work alongside GPs, psychiatrists, and other health professionals to ensure collaborative care, psychologists cannot prescribe medication. If you need medication, you should speak to your GP or psychiatrist.

  • Unfortunately, we are unable to offer bulk-billed (free) services. We do reserve a limited amount of sliding-scale sessions for clients who are unable to afford the full fee to increase accessibility.

  • No you do not. Our sessions are conducted on Google Meets. You will receive a link in your appointment confirmation email and your reminder emails.
